Training: Open Data in Local Governments

Within the two-day training "Open data in local governments" organized by the Office for IT and eGovernment, UNDP and GGF, on Monday and Tuesday, 3 and 4 June 2019 in Zira hotel in Belgrade, cities and municipalities will have an opportunity to learn more about the obligations, mechanisms and significance of open data, representing a pre-condition for strengthening electronic administration and the introduction of "smart cities" concept.

On this occasion, local governments will be informed in more detail about the legislative and strategic framework in this field, the results achieved so far within the project „Open data - open opportunities“, the activities of the Working Group for Open Data, the Open Data web portal, best practice examples and experiences from cities that already joined the initiative, as well as the examples of successful use of open data.

Local governments may delegate two representatives for the raining (one person in charge of IT affairs and Head of Administration / Deputy Mayor, or person in charge of smart city policies). Number of participants is limited, and accommodation and travel expenses will be covered by the organizers.

Interested representatives may apply for the training by filling-in the registration form by 28 May 2019.
