Presentation of IPARD program for the Food and Agriculture Alliance

On Tuesday, 15 January 2019, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Agrarian Payments Directorate, NALED organized a presentation of the IPARD (Instrument for Pre-Accession in Rural Development) program for supporting the competitiveness of Serbian agriculture, to the members of NALED's Food and Agriculture Alliance.

The representatives of the Ministry and the Directorate presented the IPARD structure, the manner of conducting open calls, the measures financed from the EU pre-accession funds, the specificities and challenges in using the funds. The event also announced the introduction of new sectors into the IPARd program: the production and processing of grapes - wine sector, and the production and processing of eggs. 

The meeting also announced the plan of open calls in 2019, referring to the following measures:

  • Measure 1 – Investments in physical property of farming households (construction of facilities and procurement of equipment, machines and mechanization, including tractors): from June 2019 to 15 September 2019
  • Measure 3 – Investments in physical property with processing and marketing of agricultural and fisheries products (construction and equipment): from August 2019 to 15 October 2019
  • Measure 7 – Diversification of farming households and business development: from November 2019 to 1 February 2020
  • Measure 9 – Technical assistance - primarily referring to the Ministry of Agriculture: from October 2019 to 31 December 2019
