I Quarterly Report: The Beacon of Regulatory Reform

The beginning of 2020 was marked by important reforms in the areas of taxation, entrepreneurship and property registration, to which NALED members contributed, and it was expected that, even in early elections, the Government and Parliament would pass and adopt regulations smoothly until the election of new incumbents.

However, in the first quarter of 2020, suddenly and without exception, the pandemic changed plans and expectations around the world. The state of emergency was declared of March 15, 2020, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, a special legal regime was established, with intense regulatory activity, especially in the areas of business, healthcare, movement and other citizens' rights.

Therefore, in the new Quarterly Report on the Status of Regulatory Reforms, the NALED Executive Office gives an overview and critical review of the most important regulations adopted in the first quarter of 2020, including those adopted during the state of emergency.
