Fair Competition Alliance

NALED and socially responsible companies, the largest employers and taxpayers in Serbia formed the Fair Competition Alliance in May 2014. The Alliance provides support to the Government in defining and implementing concrete measures and policies for establishing fair competition and countering shadow economy, as well as creating and raising the wider and professional public's awareness on the causes and consequences of illegal business and trade. The Alliance is in charge of developing and supporting the implementation of the National Program for Countering Shadow Economy. Additional Alliance's activities concern a comprehensive analysis of the capacity of national inspections to conduct inspection oversight, analysis of models for reducing income taxes and contributions in cooperation with the IMF, as well as support in implementing the transformation of the Tax Administration.

The prioritety activities of the Fair Competition Alliance include:

  • Finalization of the Draft Law on Fiscalization with the aim of improving the fiscalization system and expanding the scope of fiscalization,
  • Nomination of 100 administrative procedures for optimization and digitalization, with the aim of reducing the administrative burden to businesses operating, legally
  • Launching the e-inspector system for four pilot inspection – market, administrative, sanitary, labor,
  • Reform of para-fiscal charges – finalization of the Draft Law on Fees for Use of Public Goods.
