As part of the EIT Food Hub programme in Serbia, applications are now open for the second Challenge Lab Re:Generator, a unique innovation challenge dedicated to developing sustainable solutions for healthy food production and health preservation through the protection and regeneration of agricultural land. Last year’s edition gathered 35 participants.
Applications are open to third, fourth, and fifth-year undergraduate students, postgraduate students and PhD candidates, startups, and entrepreneurs interested in topics related to agriculture and sustainable development.
The Challenge Lab brings together young and innovative participants who will work on developing ideas in the field of regenerative agriculture, focusing on the optimal use of land and bio-resources, efficient utilisation of financial and human resources, and the functioning and sustainability of agricultural ecosystems.
The official start of the programme will be on 4 November 2025, when participants will attend an introductory workshop to learn more about the topics, form teams, and meet their mentors.
From 10 to 14 November, participants will take part in online mentoring sessions, while the final event will be held on 20 November 2025, where teams will present their innovative solutions to an expert jury.
The top three ideas will be awarded team prizes in the following amounts:
1st place – €1,000
2nd place – €700
3rd place – €500
The programme combines mentorship, training, networking with companies from the food and agriculture sector, and support for further development of innovative ideas.
Applications are open until 30 October 2025 at 23:59 (CET) via this LINK.
