Innovations - new reforms and ideas for a better future, were the topic of this year's September Gathering of NALED members and partners, which brouht together nearly 1,000 guests at the White Palace. The attendees toasted to the beginning of the new reform season, but also enjoyed the traditional Flavors of Serbia and the announcement of NALED's Top Members for the year 2023.
Minister of Construction Goran Vesić greeted the attendees on behalf of the Government of Serbia, stating that he is glad to be in the company of the best in the private and public sector - a company of visionaries and innovators who work every day to make Serbia a better place for work and life of all citizens.
- As the Government of Serbia, we are happy that we have NALED as one of the most important partners on the difficult path of reforming our society. We can freely evaluate the work we have done in the last 10 years as a historical transformation of Serbia," said Vesić.
Those present were briefly greeted by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Aleksandar II Karađorđević and the President of NALED Managing Board Vladislav Cvetković, who toasted for 17 long and successful years of the organization's work.
For the first time, the Gathering had a general sponsor, company Philip Morris, and guests could also visit the PMI innovation cube to chat with artificial intelligence. Hence, in his opening address, Philip Morris CEO for Southeast Europe, Aleksandar Jakovljević, humorously requested Chat GPT's help in opening the meeting.
Jakovljević pointed out that he is particularly proud of the results of StarTech project, which his company is implementing in cooperation with NALED and with the support of the Government of Serbia.
The evening at the White Palace was also marked by a special collaboration with Hyatt Hotel, which made special dishes based on authentic flavors and ingredients from 18 cities and municipalities. Chef Milan Čotra recommended his favorites to his guests and invited them to vote in the Gastro Quiz.
Lamb in milk with horseradish sauce from Eastern Serbia won the largest number of votes, while banica pie from Central and Southern Serbia and raspberry cake from Western Serbia were declared the best appetizer and dessert.
The company Delta Motors, which took care of transporting the guests in the latest BMW models, also prepared a prize quiz for those present, and the award "BMW on the weekend" went to Jovanka Atanacković from the company CWP Global.
The Gathering was concluded with the presentation of the traditional Top Member award. The award is given for an exceptional contribution to the development of the organization and membership, strengthening the reputation and promotion of NALED's common values by decision of the Managing Board, and at the proposal of the Executive Office. The Executive Vice President of Hisense Europe Stanka Pejanović, the Mayor of Smederevska Palanka Nikola Vučen and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad Nedeljko Tica received this year's titles of NALED's Top Members in competition among more than 300 companies, local governments and civil society organizations.
