Goals and Results
The main goal of this project is to contribute to a better environmental state and quality of life for citizens by strengthening the capacity for implementing waste management systems, in line with national requirements and EU environmental regulations. Through the project implementation, the establishment and maintenance of an efficient waste management system will be supported, positively impacting the environment and the everyday life quality of citizens in Novi Sad and the municipalities belonging to the region.

Project Components:

Support for the Launch of the Regional Waste Management Center:
This component includes providing technical assistance in establishing the new Regional Waste Management Center, as well as strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and provincial authorities to ensure quality investments and sustainable waste management. -
Strengthening Capacity of Novi Sad and Municipalities in the Region:
This project segment focuses on training and supporting public utility companies in Novi Sad and surrounding municipalities to ensure quality investments and the establishment of a sustainable regional waste management system. -
Increasing Public Awareness of Waste Management:
The project will raise public awareness and knowledge about waste management practices in the Novi Sad region, in line with national legislation and EU standards.
