The call is open for all global innovators who want to win grants of up to $50,000 and present innovative ideas at the prestigious international competition Serendipity Collective 2025 in Belgrade, on October 26 and 27, 2025. NALED, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, supports the competition held within the Biotech Future Forum, a conference jointly organized by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Office for IT and eGovernment, C4IR Serbia, NALED, UNDP, the World Economic Forum and BIO4 campus.
Up to 50 participants from all over the world will be chosen to present their ideas live in front of an international jury and audience in Belgrade. The most successful teams win grants of up to $50,000, as well as direct access to the global biotech ecosystem, mentoring support offered by more than 100 experts, integration with national AI and biotechnology strategies, and global visibility through the World Economic Forum network.
The competition especially encourages the so-called Blue Sky Ideas – ideas that push the boundaries of the possible, that are not fully developed but have the potential to make a significant step forward in science, technology and society. The goal is to recognize and support bold, visionary ideas that, with support, could become solutions for the future. The most advanced ideas from the fields of biotechnology, artificial intelligence, sustainable technologies and interdisciplinary innovations will be presented.
As the European center of biotechnology and the headquarters of the first global C4IR center dedicated to biotechnology and artificial intelligence, Serbia will host more than 1,000 innovators, world leaders, scientists and experts, providing a unique opportunity to connect and exchange knowledge. The Biotech Future Forum will be a key meeting place for all actors of the global innovation ecosystem.
