The second Property and Urbanism Alliance session in 2020 organized

The second session of the Alliance for Property and Urbanism in 2020 was held on Tuesday, June 16, and the session host was the Inpharm pharmaceutical company. Jelena Deretić, Assistant Minister of Justice in the Ministry of Justice was present as a guest at the session.

On this occasion, the members were presented with the Report on the Alliance's work during the COVID-19 pandemic, the results of the questionnaire on Alliance members’ doing business during the epidemic, the Grey Book 12 and recommendations from the Alliance’s domain, as well as activities from the Action Plan for Doing Business 2020-2023.

At the session, Alliance members presented several issues that they believe would be important to solve in the coming period as they significantly affect their daily business.

  • It is necessary to speed up the resolution of the so-called "old cases in the cadastre" so that the RGA is a real service to citizens and businesses.
  • It is necessary to regulate in detail the provisions on out-of-court sale of movables on which a pledge is entered in the Register in order to remove all ambiguities in the implementation of the Law on Pledge on Movable Items registered in the Register.
  • It is necessary for the Law on the Registration Procedure with the Cadaster of Real Estate and Utilities to enable priority in resolving requests for correction of technical errors in the RGA.
  • It is necessary to provide support for mediation in practice as an effective way of out-of-court settlement of disputes between the parties, but to further specify the criteria for the selection of mediators.

It was agreed with the representatives of the Ministry of Justice that an online meeting with the Alliance members will be held in the coming period in order to present them a new platform for electronic public sale in enforcement proceedings, which will be performed in electronic form exclusively from September 1, 2020.

The session was attended by representatives of Inpharm, the Chamber of Notaries, the Republic Geodetic Authority, the Business Registers Agency, the Port of Belgrade, the "Vukovic and Partners" Law Office, Balkan Wind farms, UniCredit Bank, SET Sabac, Apatin Brewery, Philip Morris Operations, Telegroup and the Chamber of Public Executors
