ECitizen service from today in Belgrade as well

After the successful launch of the eCitizen service in Kragujevac and Subotica, a specialized counter for registration of citizens on the eGovernment Portal was opened today in the city municipality of Stari grad. All citizens of Belgrade will be able to ask for support in creating an account and then they will join a group of over a million users of electronic services.

- After you become an eCitizen, all exchange of paper, documentation and any type of communication will take place electronically. There is no reason to ask when the counter is open, travel, pay various taxes. And just as we managed to apply for vaccination via ePortal, this will become our everyday life. This makes you a modern citizen, who saves himself time and money - said the Minister of Public Administration and Local Government, Marija Obradovic.

The Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, Mihailo Jovanović, stated that eBaby, ePrescription and eCadastre are just some of the services through which citizens have seen the benefits of ePortal. "At the end of last month, the service of enrolling children in preschool institutions - eVrtić, is current again, and from this year, enrollment in high schools takes place completely electronically via the portal Moja srednja skola www.mojasrednjaskola.gov.rs. Citizens only need to come to the counter once, get their electronic identification in order to access eServices securely with the help of a mobile phone, and they no longer have to come to the counters. All business with the public administration continues to work via internet or mobile phone, "said Jovanović.

By creating one account, citizens can use the services of several state portals such as eGovernment, eHealth and esDnevnik, and in the coming period, direct access will be provided to eTaxes, Agency for Business Registers, Pension and Disability fund and the CRCSI portal. All they need to do is go to the city administration counter with their ID card, where the employees will give them a username and password to access the eGovernment Portal and install the application on their mobile phone.

- The municipality of Stari grad initiated the process of introducing eGovernment as one of its priorities, because our municipality was the only one in Belgrade that was not in that system. The rule is that every citizen gets the first impression of the state in a meeting with a counter clerk, and as of today, the stereotypical notion of "administrative counter" goes forever into the bureaucratic past - said the mayor of Stari grad, Radoslav Marjanovic.

The eCitizen service is part of a broader project to improve the electronic delivery of documents, implemented by NALED in cooperation with the Office for IT and eGovernment and with the financial support of the EBRD.

- NALED is especially proud of its participation in the creation of services and systems such as ePermits, eInspector and eCounter and we will continue to advocate for the automation of procedures wherever it is possible. In the coming period, our focus will be on digitalization, primarily in the field of health through the introduction of a single electronic chart. We will also work on the establishment of eAgrar for online registration of agricultural households and the allocation of subsidies, as well as on the development of the eSpace system for digitalization of spatial and urban plans - said the Executive Director of NALED, Violeta Jovanovic.
