Consultative meetings with academia on industry-focused doctoral studies
Today, the first consultative meeting with representatives of the academic community on the topic of doctoral studies in industry was held at the NALED premises. The aim of the meeting was to explore possibilities for involving the academic community in the work of industry through a consultative process, with a special emphasis on engaging doctoral students in academic projects within the industry.
NALED will continue its efforts to further connect science and industry, with significant contributions expected from the development of Guidelines for Doctoral Studies in Industry.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technological development, and innovation, including State Secretary Vukašin Grozdić, Assistant minister Vladimir Radovanović, and Advisor in the Cabinet of the Ministry of Education Janko Samardžić, as well as representatives of faculties and scientific institutes.
Consultations between science and industry are supported through the StarTech program, aimed at supporting the digital transformation of small and medium enterprises, which is part of a three-year project to promote innovation and technological development in Serbia conducted by NALED and funded by Philip Morris.
As a reminder, creating conditions for collaboration between science and industry through sponsored doctoral programs is one of the priority recommendations of the second edition of the Gray Book of innovation.
