From September 24 to 30, a study visit to Canada was organized, where a conference dedicated to artificial intelligence was held. It is an event that brought together a large number of researchers, investors, companies, governments and lecturers. Representatives of NALED - Ana Milovanović, Policy Coordinator and Ilija Gavrilović, Policy Officer, who were part of the state delegation of the Republic of Serbia on this trip, also had the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the field of artificial intelligence.

During the study visit, our employees participated in a two-day workshop dedicated to challenges in the development of artificial intelligence and ways to overcome them, which was held as part of the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence, of which Serbia is a member. During the workshop, our participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences with partners from Canada, Germany, India, Brazil, Singapore and other representatives of countries participating in this process.

In addition to participating in a two-day workshop and networking with colleagues, NALED representatives also participated in the ALL IN conference, the largest event dedicated to artificial intelligence in Canada. In addition to the panel on current global trends, development challenges and ways to overcome them, participants also had the opportunity to learn about the most modern innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence.

In honor of the arrival of the Serbian delegation, the founder and owner of Samuel Group, Goran Samuel Pešić, organized a festive dinner attended by NALED employees, after which they also met with representatives of the Serbian community in Montreal.

- The trip to Canada was used to acquire new knowledge, get acquainted with current global trends and challenges in the development of artificial intelligence, but also to expand the network of contacts - concluded Gavrilović.

In addition to NALED, the state delegation also included representatives of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Serbia, the Office for IT and eGovernment, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, the Center for Digital Transformation, Quantox, as well as and Philip Morris International, which, through the StarTech project, supported the realization of this visit. A group of StarTech grantees (DeepNets, ArtiFit and Cropt) and a journalist from the Radio Television of Serbia, Ivana Božović, were also on a study visit to Canada.
