30 Experts Complete Certified Technology Transfer Training Program

As part of the StarTech Program, and in cooperation with the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) from Amsterdam, a specialized training program was organized for 30 technology transfer professionals.

The program ran from April to August 2026 and consisted of nine interactive online sessions, including six workshops and three sessions dedicated to the practical application of acquired knowledge.

The training combined practical tools and resources, problem-based learning, as well as mentoring and coaching support. A key component of the program was the development of an individual Personal Application Project (PAP), through which participants applied newly acquired knowledge to real challenges from their professional environments. Throughout the program, mentoring and coaching sessions provided additional support for the development of these projects.

The program also focused on strengthening competencies essential for technology transfer and university-industry collaboration, including strategic approaches to academia-business cooperation, entrepreneurial thinking, partnership development, knowledge transfer processes, understanding partners’ needs and priorities, and negotiation skills required for building successful collaborations.

The training was designed for professionals from research and scientific institutions engaged in technology transfer, with the aim of further specializing and enhancing their knowledge and skills.

Participants included representatives of research institutions from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Novi Pazar, Niš, and Leskovac. The program also brought together representatives of the Innovation Fund and the Science and Technology Parks of Niš and Kragujevac, whose participation further contributed to the exchange of experience among different stakeholders within the innovation ecosystem.

All participants who successfully completed the program received certificates.
