Experts in the field of biotechnology and artificial intelligence will gather in October in Belgrade when the fourth BioTech Future Forum will be held, within which the final of the Serendipity Collective Challenge, a global competition that brings together top innovators, researchers and entrepreneurs from all over the world, will be organized. This was announced at the Info Day organized by NALED, where the Serendipity Collective Challenge was presented to domestic innovators.
At the Serendipity Challenge, 50 selected participants from all over the world will have the opportunity to present their ideas live in the Serbian capital to an international jury and audience. The best teams will win grants of up to $50,000, mentoring support from more than 100 global experts and direct access to global networks of investors, partners and institutions.
This event confirms the growing role of our country as a center of knowledge, technology and artificial intelligence in the region, says NALED program director and director of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
- I believe that precisely in such encounters, where ideas and people spontaneously intertwine, discoveries are made that change the world. Our mission is to create an environment where young talents and experienced experts can freely exchange knowledge and build partnerships, and Belgrade has all the prerequisites to become a real regional center of innovation and creativity - said Jelena Bojović.
Our interlocutor explains that this challenge encourages blue sky ideas - bold and unconventional ideas that may not be fully developed, but have the potential to change science, technology or society. It is precisely in such ideas that the essence of serendipity lies - unplanned discoveries that are reached thanks to curiosity and openness.
All interested scientists, engineers, artists and entrepreneurs can apply until August 29, 2025. More information about application and rules is available at the official link.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation and NALED provide support to the Biotech Future Forum, a conference jointly implemented by the Government of Serbia, the Office for IT and eGovernment, C4IR Serbia, UNDP, the World Economic Forum and BIO4 campus.
