Test Before You Invest - CIPS Project Presented at the Advanced Technologies Forum in Niš

How small and medium-sized enterprises can test advanced technologies before making major investments was the main topic of a panel at the 10th anniversary edition of the Advanced Technologies Forum, where the Capital Innovation Point Serbia (CIPS) project was also presented. Held on 16 and 17 September at the Science and Technology Park in Niš, the Forum brought together more than 1,200 participants from over 20 countries, more than 200 companies, and over 170 speakers and panellists.

Under the theme “TechIntelligence: Transforming Industry for the Intelligent Age”, this year's Forum explored the opportunities that artificial intelligence, digitalisation, automation and other advanced technologies offer to industry and business. The programme included panels, lectures, technology demonstrations, B2B meetings, and sessions dedicated to startups, the development of new skills, and cooperation between companies, the research and scientific community, and public institutions.

At the panel “From Challenges to Competitive Advantage: Test Before Invest for SMEs”, participants discussed the “test before invest” concept, which enables companies to trial advanced technologies before making major investments and assess their feasibility and potential for scaling. NALED provides this type of support through CIPS, offering advisory services and mentoring, assistance with funding preparation and connections with investors, as well as access to expertise and infrastructure for testing technological solutions.

CIPS is part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network and is co-funded by the European Union. The project is coordinated by the Science and Technology Park Belgrade, with NALED, the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, and Data Cloud Technology as partners. The associated partners are the Institute of Physics Belgrade and the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade.
