A delegation of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs (FUZIP), led by Director Ivana Prvulović, paid a three-day visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands in The Hague. During the visit, delegation members had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work of eight inspection institutions and gain insight into the system and modern inspection oversight practices applied in the country.
The visit focused on the exchange of experiences in the use of artificial intelligence and the application of innovative methods in inspectors’ work, including the use of drones in inspection oversight. Particular attention was given to risk assessment mechanisms and models, considering that inspection authorities in most countries operate with a limited number of inspectors and are therefore unable to supervise all entities. As a result, it is essential to adequately plan and direct inspection oversight toward areas with the highest potential risks and the greatest threats to human health, safety, and the environment.
“The visit to inspection authorities in the Kingdom of the Netherlands represents an important contribution to building harmonized and consistent inspection oversight based on adequate risk assessment. The knowledge and examples of modern practices acquired during the visit will further strengthen the expertise, efficiency, and professionalism of our inspectors, which are the fundamental pillars of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs,” said Ivana Prvulović, Director of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs.
The visit was organized within the second phase of cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development through the project “Support to Strengthening the Capacities of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs,” with the support of the Government of the Swiss Confederation and implemented by NALED.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the hosts for their hospitality and openness to cooperation, emphasizing that the experience gained would be invaluable in the process of modernizing inspection services in the Federation of BiH.
