General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and Montenegro, Aleksandar Ružević, has been named the new President of NALED Managing Board. He has been selected the leader of the organization’s highest governing body by the new members of the Managing Board. In the next four years, he will lead the implementation of strategic goals and priorities set by NALED members.
Vice Presidents of the Managing Board have also been selected – Goran Kovačević, CEO, Gomex, Vladan Vasić, Mayor of Pirot, and Dragana Čukić, a Member of ACES Board of Directors.
"It is a great honor and responsibility to head the Managing Board of NALED, the leading business associations in Serbia, being the most important driver of reforms in the recent years. We have significantly contributed to the improvement of business environment and achieved great results, such as the introduction of e-construction permits, the best ranking on the Doing Business list, the adoption of the National Program for Countering Shadow Economy, strengthening the capacities of municipalities for economic development and investment promotion in five countries of South East Europe.
According to him, the Managing Board will be guided by the reform priorities and course defined by NALED members, including the countering of informal economy, reform of the tax system and reduction of para-fiscal charges. The goal is also for NALED to continue working actively on cutting the red tape through simplifying and modernizing administrative procedures, improving the local business conditions through Business Friendly Certification in South East Europe, as well as the faster development of e-government.
Aleksandar Ruzevic graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and has been a part of the Coca Cola team since 1998. He has built a career leading teams of professionals in different markets, from Macedonia to Ukraine, always achieving significant results and setting new boundaries in both business and CSR initiatives.
He was appointed the General Manager of Coca Cola HBC Serbia and Montenegro in August 2015. He became a member of NALED Managing Board in 2016 and previously served as chairman of NALED's Alliance for Fair Competition, founded by Coca Cola.
NALED Managing Board consists of five representatives of businesses, three from local governments and one from civil society organizations - Aleksandar Ružević, General Manager of Coca Cola HBC Serbia and Montenegro, Goran Kovačević, CEO of Gomex, Stanka Pejanović, General Manager of Gorenje, Vojislav Genić, Public Sector Director for Central and Eastern Europe in SAP and Vladimir Novaković, General Manager of Apatinska Brewery, Vladan Vasić, Mayor of Pirot, Dušanka Golubovic, Mayor of Sombor and Goran Cvetanović, Mayor of Leskovac, as well as Dragana Čukić, Member of ACES Managing Board.
