NALED Executive Director Violeta Jovanović and representatives of NALED's Property and Investment Alliance met today with the Minister of Justice Maja Popović and her team, in order to present the organization's priorities and discuss models of future cooperation.
NALED presented potential solutions for the digitalization of work of judicial bodies, the establishment of electronic archive in the courts, the delivery of court decisions to e-mailboxes and the integration of the court system and the Business Registries Agency.
The attendees also discussed further cooperation on the reform of property registration in the real estate cadastre, which abolished the obligation to physically visit the cadastre by introducing eCounter in July 2018,.In two and a half years, 944,000 requests have been submitted through the electronic system, and the average time for resolving cases was reduced from 25 to six days.
Due to the recent presentation of the Grey Book 13, the meeting also discussed the recommendations related to the Ministry of Justice which, in addition to the digitalization of procedures, include the abolition of unnecessary court fees, the introduction of the possibility for a legal entity to be a whistleblower and regulation of lawyer registration fees.
The meeting was attended by the Advisor in the Minister’s Cabinet Branko Ilić and Senior Advisor Vladimir Vinš, and on behalf of NALED, the Entrepreneurship and Investments Director Dušan Vasiljević, the Head of Property and Investment Unit Jasmina Radovanović and Policy Advisor Đorđe Vukotić.
