Recognitions were awarded to the winners of the prize competition for journalists and students

Today, in the premises of NALED, awards were solemnly presented to journalists and students who won the competition within the projects "Towards better food waste management in the Republic of Serbia" and "Management of glass packaging in the Western Balkans", which are part of the wider DeveloPPP program, initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and implemented in partnership by NALED, Sekopak, Esotron and Apatin Brewery.

"The concept of circular economy on which both of these projects are based, brings significant savings of energy and raw materials, and this is what we have all been advocating together since 2019, when NALED set environmental protection as one of its reform priorities," stated in his address, the Head of  Environmental Protection Alliance, Slobodan Krstović.

The award in the category of student works was given to the final year student of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy of the University of Belgrade, Đorđe Vučković, and the student of the College of Vocational Studies of the Belgrade Polytechnic, Mina Vučković.

A unique review of topics not only from their personal point of view, but also from local governments from which they come, enabled Dragana Ratković, a journalist from Radio Novi Sad, and Vanja Mijalkov, a journalist from the regional television Pirot, who came to the event accompanied by the representative of the regional sanitary landfill in Pirot, Branislava Tošić.

Journalist of the daily Politika Andrijana Cvetićanin, editor of the environmental portal EkoNEC Milisav Pajević, editor of the Center for the Promotion of the Circular Economy Marija Dedić and RTS journalist Jelena Vukobrat, spoke in their articles about how the citizens of the Republic of Serbia see the proper management of glass packaging and disposal of food waste and what problems they point out the most, who won the award in the national media category.

The awards were presented to journalists and students by project partners, Sanela Mandić Veljkovski - Project manager at GIZ, Bojan Gligić - Regional manager at Esotron, Milica Kuzmanov - Marketing Manager at Sekopak, Maja Barać Stojanović - Communications Manager at Apatin Brewery and Slobodan Krstović, Head of the Environmental Protection Alliance at NALED, as the host of the gathering.
