Ahead of International Women’s Day, the “Small and Powerful” workshop will be held in Belgrade on March 6 – a full-day event dedicated to empowering women who run or are starting their own businesses. The program will take place at MTS Hall and will bring together expert speakers in finance, digitalization, marketing, and business development.
Through a practically designed program, participants will have the opportunity to gain key knowledge for business growth. The workshop will open with Luka Prišunjak, who will speak about testing and launching business ideas. Nevena Marčeta and Sonja Nikić will present available support programs, while Dušan Roglić will cover fiscal cash registers and the e-Invoice system. Vladimir Pavlović will address financial planning, Vladimir Mladenov will focus on digital transformation, and the event will conclude with Strahinja Ćalović’s lecture on branding and digital marketing.
“Flowers are a beautiful and symbolic gesture, but self-respect built on knowledge has a lasting impact. If we truly want equality, we must systematically invest in education and support for women who create new value. That is why these trainings are much more than a one-day event – they are a long-term investment in entrepreneurial initiative, economic security, and the sustainable development of society as a whole,” said Violeta Jovanović, Executive Director of NALED.
As she points out, data shows just how necessary such programs are. One quarter of small enterprises and entrepreneurs would benefit from training in online advertising, while one fifth need additional training in business development strategy and social media advertising, according to research conducted by Ipsos in cooperation with NALED. Businesses led by women express an even greater need for education – 29% cite online sales as a priority, 39% online advertising, and 30% social media advertising.
The “Small and Powerful” workshop program directly addresses these challenges. Participants will learn how to test and launch business ideas, plan finances, understand fiscal obligations and the e-Invoice system, and leverage digital tools and marketing to grow their businesses and increase market visibility.
In addition to the educational segment, the event is designed as a platform for networking, exchanging experiences, and building new business partnerships. The finale will also bring valuable prizes for participants.
The organizers emphasize that the “Small and Powerful” workshop is not just another business seminar, but a strong message ahead of March 8 – that modern gender equality is inseparably linked to economic strength, knowledge, and support for women who build and develop the domestic economy.
