IMF in a visit to NALED

The IMF delegation, led by the new Head Jan Kees Martijn, who replaced James Roaf in this position, visited NALED today for a discussion with the Executive Office about the key measures of the National Program for Countering Shadow Economy, whose implementation stands as one of the key elements of economic reforms in Serbia.

The meeting particularly focused on the reform of fiscalization system, reduction of para-fiscal burden to businesses, tax exemption measure for start-ups, reforming the manner of lump-sum taxation, further improvement of inspection oversight, as well as the established system for electronic registration of seasonal workers in agriculture.

The two-week visit of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation starts tomorrow, on 10 May, with meetings with the representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank of Serbia.
